CONVENT OF AVESSADAS

Marco de Canaveses

The convent of Avessadas is a religious oriented building, belonging to the order of the Discalced Carmelites, built between 1960 and 1961. The building consists of two equal bodies (House of the Novitiate and the shrine of the infant Jesus of Prague) separated by the Church of the shrine, and was born in the grounds of the Farm of Moria in Avessadas.


In 2015 began the renovation of the exterior walls, with the application of Diera TC R4 for the consolidation and repair of the structure, and the application of glue cement Diera TH Therm with a glass fiber net.


Subsequently it was applied the final coat of mortar Diera RV Fino Branco, and a layer of thermal paint Diera Tinta Ecotherm.


This intervention is part of a vast roster of urban rehabilitation works, highlighting the interventions carried out in the Palace, Quinta dos Ingleses and Catholic University of Porto, among many others.


SOLUTIONS USED


DIERA TC R4

Thixotropic mortar single with fibers, for repair of the structural integrity of reinforced concrete class R4, fill voids, cracks, gaps, corners coating of pillars, and regularization of concrete or mortar surfaces. Has high fluidity, high mechanical resistance and carbonation, being permeable to water vapor.


DIERA TH THERM

Monocomponent glue cement mixed with binders with lengthened open time and reduced slip, suitable for pasting and thermal insulation bus of  expanded polystyrene, extruded chipboard and black Cork on new surfaces. Used in DIERATHERM and DIERATHERM + systems (ETICS), approved by the LNEC (DH 932 and ETA 14/0363).


DIERA RV FINO BRANCO

Finishing mortar, sanded, with high resistance to water penetration and hardness, developed for the rehabilitation of hydraulic plaster of cimentitious base, old and new, who present random cracking originating in retraction of the mortars. Specific product for armed buses.


DIERA TINTA ECOTHERM

Aqueous paint based on pure acrylic resins, pigments, opacifiers, micro glass beads, fillers and additives and properly balanced proportions. Specially formulated to increase the thermal efficiency of the substrate and the protection and decoration of facades abroad, has high resistance to alkalinity and fungal growth. Easy to apply.
