This private house project whose author is the architect Pedro Guimarăes from the Architectural office Barbosa & Guimarăes (www.barbosa-guimaraes.com) is highlighted for the uptake of innovative solutions in the cork application on the exterior coating, and by a strong aesthetic sense with both urban and space surroundings.
The adhesive DIERA CL ULTRAFLEX was initially applied on the exterior walls, for the surfaces waterpoofing, and the application on the collage of the cork plates with 10 cm thickness.
Afterwards was applied the protector CORKGARD FUV BROWN on the visible cork plates, to offer a durable coating with excellent properties of water, oil, stains and dirt repellency from various kind, while maintaining the natural qualities of the cork (smoothness, colour, breathability).
USED SOLUTIONS
Bi-component deformable adhesive impermeable to liquid water. Shows good elasticity and when applied on a continuous layer offers a perfect waterproofing on which the tiles or cork must be applied, avoiding also the occurrence of efflorescences.
The materials can be used on cementitious surfaces, concrete, ferrous and non ferrous metal, wood, asbestos, PVC, linoleum. Suitable for surfaces subject to ocasional contact with water and to surfaces with high deformability and expansions.
Protector for cork agglomerates which offer durable coatings with repellency properties to water, oil, stains and dirt from various kind, as well as high resistance to UV and ageing.
Improves the dynamic resistance to water, keeping the natural cork qualities, particularly, smoothness, colour, breathable.
Ecological product, without surfactants or chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), responsible for the damage to the ozone layer.
